Brussels Sprouts and Wheat Berry Slaw

1 cupwheat berries
olive oil
3 tbssherry vinegar
1/2 teaspoonpaprika
3 tbsdried currants
3/4 lbbrussels sprouts
Salt and pepper to taste

11. Bring 1 1/2 qts water, wheat berries, and salt to boil in medium covered saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer till berries are tender but not mushy (some should start to burst), about 1 1/4 hours.
2 2. Whisk salt, pepper, oil, 3 tbs vinegar, paprika and currants together in bowl. Let stand while wheat berries cook.
3 3. Cut sprouts into fine shreds (use food processor with slicing disk). Add brussels and berries to dressing and toss to coat. Season to taste.
