Delicious but laden with calories
Main Ingredient: Eggs
|12||Eggs -- slightly beaten|
|4 teaspoon||Vanilla extract|
|1 qt||Whipping cream -- heavy|
|6 tablespoon||Powdered sugar|
|1/2 teaspoon||Vanilla extract|
|1||Mix eggs, sugar and salt in heavy 2-quart saucepan. Gradually stir in milk.|
|2||Cook over medium heat 10 to 15 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture|
|3||just coats a metal spoon; remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Place saucepan|
|4||in cold water until custard is cool. Add rum. (If custard curdles, beat|
|5||vigorously with hand beater until smooth.) Cover and refrigerate at least 2|
|6||hours but no longer than 24 hours.|
