Rhu's Marinara Sauce Cheryl style

1 tablespoonolive oil
1 cupdiced onion
2 cupsliced mushrooms
1/4 cupdiced peppers
6garlic cloves; crushed
2 cupdry red wine
1/4 cupchopped fresh parsley
8 tablespoonsugar
1 tblspoonsFresh oregano
1 tblspoonsFresh basil
1 teaspoonpepper
1/4 teaspoonsalt
2bay leaves
5 cansdiced tomatoes; 14 oz can organic
2 cantomato paste; (6-ounce), organic
1/2 cupSun-dried tomatoes; in oil


1Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add onion, mushrooms, bell pepper, and garlic; saute 5 minutes or until tender. Add remaining ingredients, and bring to a simmer. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
