Rice Pudding

Oven temp: 300°F / 150°C / Gas Mark 2
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 2 hrs 15 mins


1 teaspoonNutmeg
1 large knobButter; plus some extra to grease the dish
1 pintmilk; use whole milk for extra creamy taste
2 level tablespoonSugar
2 level tablespoonRice; white short grain such as Arborio


1Grease shallow dish with butter.
2Wash rice an then put into greased dish with sugar and milk. Dot pieces of the butter throughout the dish, and then sprinkle the nutmeg on the top.
3Place in preheated oven for 2 hours 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
