Natural and sweet tasting strawberry dessert.
Main Ingredient: Strawberries
|1/2 cup||Granulated sugar|
|1 tablespoon||Lemon juice|
|6 cups||Strawberries; hulled|
|1||In a small saucepan, bring sugar and 1/4 cup (50 mL) water to boil, stirring often; boil for 1 minute. Let cool completely. Stir in lemon juice.|
|2||Meanwhile, in food processor or blender, purée strawberries. Add syrup; whirl to combine.|
|3||Pour into 8-inch (2 L) square metal cake pan; freeze until firm, about 8 hours. (Make-ahead: Cover and freeze for up to 1 week.)|
|4||Scrape fork across surface of frozen puree to form crystals. Spoon into dishes.|
